When Dean discovers that Jade has been walking around the Square in the cold, he's worries and is concerned about her health.
Having being encouraged by Jean, Nugget and Avani befriend Jade and Dean later arrives home to find Jade entertaining her new friends.
The following day, when Jade wants to hang out with Nugget and Avani, Dean says no, as it’s too cold for her to be out. But she defies him, and he later finds her in McKlunky’s with her new mates.
When Dean is strict with her, Jade is mortified and Avani teases her that her dad has her on a short leash.
