Dylan reveals the truth about Ray's murder as Bear spirals in Emmerdale

Will April's vulnerability allow Bear to open up?

 7-13 FEBRUARY

Dylan confesses to April that he was present when Ray was murdered and reveals that Bear is the killer. As he continues to detail Ray's death, he explains how Bear killed him unintentionally, whilst trying to stop him from threatening Paddy.

Later, Paddy is furious when Dylan confesses to telling April about Ray’s death, and Bear begins to spiral over all the commotion.

When April suggests going to the police, Paddy insists this would only look like everyone was involved in a conspiracy. When Dylan tells Paddy that Ray’s murder is all over the news, Paddy is convinced that getting Bear a counsellor is too risky an idea at the moment.

As Cain tries to physically force Bear to go to the police to help Moira, Dylan finds him violently manhandling Bear and is quick to intervene.

Meanwhile, Bear finds April crying, who admits she is scared the police will charge her for past actions. Her vulnerability encourages Bear to talk about his sadness over killing Ray, and April reassures him that they all care about him and are there for him.

Trying to appeal to Bear, she tells him that Ray was a bad man. With Bear frustrated and confused, he breaks down, and Paddy rushes to his dad’s aid when he arrives home, finally realising he needs professional help.

Comforting a guilty April, Paddy assures her that Bear’s breakdown wasn’t her fault, before revealing he’s going to organise some counselling for Bear, despite the risks.

During counselling, Bear suffers from severe guilt, whilst simultaneously, a distressed Dylan expresses deep self-loathing to Paddy, believing he is a "curse" and insisting he must leave the village.

Meanwhile, a self-hating April rejects Rhona's arguments that she is a victim of manipulation, insisting she should be punished for selling drugs.

Emmerdale continues Monday to Friday at 8pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
