With Sophie still hanging around, Kush is furious on Monday (17th September) and tells her to leave. Overhearing, Carmel is angry and insists it’s time to move forward.
As tensions escalate, Kush is adamant Sophie leaves and gives his mum an ultimatum. Apologising for Kush, Carmel is determined to help Sophie and they set off to the council together to find her somewhere to live.
Heading to the pub, Kush drowns his sorrows and is given a reality check by Hayley. As he leaves, Carmel spots him outside their flat looking worse for wear. Taking his anger out on Carmel he slams the door in her face.
On Tuesday (18th September), thrown by Kush’s behaviour, Carmel is more determined than ever to help Sophie and insists she reads her letter to Bruno’s lawyer to help reduce his sentence.
As Kush returns home, he breaks down over everything that’s happened.
Kush spots Sophie at the market on Thursday (20th September) and reminds her she’s not welcome. Surprised by Kush’s hostility, Martin calms him down.
Later, when Kush goes to find his mum, Sophie’s at the flat and he realises she’s scared of him. Determined to listen to her, Sophie bears her soul to Kush.
On Friday (21st September), Carmel's mission to make a change doesn’t go to plan leaving her deflated.
