In the hospital, Ruby descends into a state of distress when Caleb tells her they can’t bring Nicky out of his coma just yet. And things are tense when Ethan and Charles bump into Caleb who's furious that Ethan is seemingly fine whilst his son remains on life support.
Later, Cain, Caleb and Ruby are murderous when they spot Ethan in the village, each of them eager for retribution.
The next day, when Ethan fails to show up to Main Street for the village fete, Charles is concerned, unaware that on the Village outskirts, Ethan’s lying bloodied and bruised in the middle of the road following a deliberate hit and run in which we see the car screech away. But who was responsible?
Meanwhile, tensions are high as Ruby and Caleb await news on Nicky’s condition.
As the fete takes place in the village, the villagers are alarmed when a battered Ethan limps into view before collapsing on Main Street. As he comes round, Ethan claims he didn’t see his attacker as his family clusters around him.
Meanwhile, the three most likely suspects, Cain, Caleb and Ruby, watch the spectacle from a distance.
