Grant’s shock admission stuns Max and Cindy in EastEnders

But is he covering for Mark?

As Lauren takes delivery of a car, Max watches closely, inspecting the keys he found.

When Cindy catches Max trying the keys in the door of No.55, he divulges his suspicions before Grant, Sam and Phil confront Max on the doorstep, dismissing his claims.

At the unveiling of the new car lot name, Max and Cindy go public with their suspicions about Mark, believing they have proof, but to everyone’s surprise, Grant claims he was the one behind it, not Mark.

With everyone shocked by Grant’s admission, Cindy accuses him of lying to protect Mark, whilst Max threatens to call the police.

Later, Sam suggests she join Grant in Portugal when he leaves, and when Lauren sees officers heading into No.3, the Mitchells are tipped off.

Outside, Phil waits in the car with Sam as Cindy and Max direct officers towards No.55.
