Haz has a difficult decision to make as he wakes from his coma in Neighbours

Will he leave to be with his sister or stay to be with Mackenzie?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 20TH MAY

When Mackenzie is denited entry to Haz's room in the hospital, she's stunned to learn that his sister Sinhani has arrives and realising Mackenzie is the ex who put him into a coma, has restricted her access.

Devastated to be shut out, Mackenzie seeks Holly’s counsel who encourages her not to back down. But when Mackenzie returns to state her case, Sinhani pushes back, harbouring guilt for her absence in her brother’s life.

As their fight escalates, the women are thrown by an unexpected interruption as a croaky Haz awakes from his coma. After Gavin assesses that Haz is recovering well, Sinhani maintains that only family can see Haz.

Overwhelmed to see his estranged sister, Haz is also keen to see Mackenzie and later she steals a moment with Haz, admitting that while she is still processing his past, she still has feelings for him.

Declaring his love for her, Haz asks if the have a chance at being together again, but Sinhani interrupts before Mackenzie can respond.

Alone with her brother, Sinhani explains that Haz’s accident has made her and their parents see the light. They want him to come home. There’s nothing for him in Erinsborough anymore.

Despite being elated to be reunited with his sister and learn that his parents have forgiven him for all his past wrongdoings, Haz is torn about Sinhani's request for him to return with her to WA as he's elated to learn how Mackenzie and his friends have cared for him while he’s been in the coma, particularly in relation to keeping his business afloat. And they obviously don’t hate him for his past actions as much as he thought they would.

Ultimately, Haz’s decision to stay or go rests on one question. Can Mackenzie definitively forgive him and stop comparing him to Hendrix?

Later on in the week, Mackenzie does her best to hide how sad she is about Haz planning to leave. Despite Holly’s insistence that she fight to make him stay, Mackenzie is not convinced it’s the right move.

But when Holly is unavailable to take Trevor to the hospital to visit Haz, Mackenzie’s the one who ends up doing it which gives Haz’s sister Sinhani a good view into their relationship.

After a spray from Holly about splitting the couple apart, Sinhani concedes the couple have a strong bond and whilse Sinhani comes to this realization, Mackenzie tells Haz she wants him to stay.

This is clearly the thing he wants to hear most and Haz comes clean to Sinhani that he wants to stay and make things work with Mackenzie. Happy to abide by Haz’s decision, Sinhani announces she will be sticking around until she’s sure he’s OK.
