Ned offers Ian some advice, sparking an idea for Ian to host a bonfire night. And Ned gets Ryder a job with Ian.
Later, Ian’s bonfire night gets off to a bad start when they discover Ryder’s fireworks are out of date and can’t be used.
After threatening to call off the event, Ian attempts to speak to Elaine to borrow some of hers. Misunderstanding him, Elaine thinks Ian is asking her on a date and refuses to give him the fireworks to save face.
Meanwhile, Ryder and Oscar join forces to steal her fireworks, and Elaine and Ian end up arguing. With the tension high, Ian interrupts her tirade with a kiss.
