ITV1 announce new I'm A Celeb spin-off The Wild Frontier

And this time, the celebs are taking part in pairs!

ITV1 has announced a brand new series and format from the world of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, I’m A Celebrity…The Wild Frontier is set in the rugged wilderness of Canada and will launch in 2027.

The new series will be hosted by Ant & Dec, and in a unique twist on the Australian version, it'll feature celebrities competing in pairs.

Set in the untamed wilderness of Canada, the series will feature celebrities competing as pairs alongside relatives, loved ones or even fellow celebrities.

So, for example, it could be two celebrities together, a celebrity and a family member, or a celebrity and their best friend. The pairs will eat, compete and be eliminated together as one.

Viewers will see the pairings undertake gruelling trials in the beautiful and unknown Canadian landscape and take on action-packed challenges to win food, all aiming to become the last pair standing.

After weeks of shocks and survival in the Canadian wilderness, viewers will have the power to decide which duo is crowned the overall winners. Viewers will be able to have their say and cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast direct from London.

Speaking ahead of filming the new series, Ant said "This brand new series is I’m A Celebrity… like you’ve never seen before. It’s a brand new format with lots of twists and surprises."

To which Dec added "We’re also making sure to retain some of the elements that we know viewers love from the Australian series. Buckle up, it’s going to be brilliant."

ITV has also confirmed that I'm A Celebrity...Unpacked will return to ITV2, airing directly after each main episode on ITV1, and will also be available as a vodcast on ITVX, Spotify, and YouTube, with an audio-only version available on all major podcast platforms.

In addition, a special live Unpacked episode will air on ITV2 immediately following the live grand final on ITV1.

The format takes duos to the most spectacular locations in Canada. The duos enter as a pair, play as a pair and leave as a pair."
