James agrees to help Maxine with her case against Eric in Hollyoaks

Can Eric's former flatmate Seamus provide them with the evidence they need?

Maxine receives Eric's laptop, but they haven’t managed to hack it. Wanting to give Verity the send-off she deserves, Tony asks Eric to help with the funeral. But Eric can't bring himself to do it and Maxine surprisingly offers to help.

However, we soon discover this is a ploy to get him to open up about his childhood so she can guess his laptop’s password.

After discovering that Eric has made an expensive order and it’s arriving today, Maxine steals the package, but Eric manages to get it back before she finds out what it was. However, he does leave behind a letter which could help Maxine get the evidence she needs.

When she shows James the letter from his former flatmate, Seamus, in which he tells Eric to change before it’s too late, Maxine convinces James to help with her case against Eric.

After hearing how much Tony sympathises with Eric, James isn't convinced that he's guilty. However, he soon changes his mind when they get a call from Seamus telling them that Eric is dangerous.

As Maxine and James meet with Eric’s former flatmate, Seamus, he fills them in on what he knows about Eric.
