James Norton to guest star in the third series of BBC Three comedy Jerk

The hit comedy starring Tim Renkow will return to BBC Three this spring.

Jerk returns for a third series following the life of Tim, a man who knows that having cerebral palsy means that he can get away with almost anything.

Starring alongside returning actors Tim Renkow, Sharon Rooney, Lorraine Bracco and Rob Madin will be Saida Ahmed and Mysie, who makes her acting debut.

They'll be joined by a great guest cast including James Norton, Lee Ridley, Sally Phillips, Lydia Fleming, Oliver Matlman and Gary Beadle. Not much is known about who they'll be playing, but there is a first look image above to whet our appetite!

Speaking about the new series, Tim Renkow said "It was great to be back with the old crew and some new faces, they were all unbelievably excellent and so much fun to work with."

Jerk is produced by Roughcut TV and Primal Media and was co-created, co-written by and stars Tim Renkow.

Co-written by Renkow and Shaun Pye, series 3 will see Tim further bulldoze the sensitivities of modern life with a lead role in a movie, a stint as a drug mule, a job advising the government on disability and generally attacking anything that takes itself too seriously.

The new series will also chart a touching love story as Tim falls for a disability activist with an agenda. Is that the sound of wedding bells, as Tim finally meets his match?
