Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping will return to Channel 4 for a second series

And there'll be a new ensemble cast!

Channel 4 has confirmed that their hit sketch comedy Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping, will return for a second series after it became their biggest comedy launch since 2018 wuth 2.3 million people tuning in for the first episode in the first 28 days and 25.5 million views on clips which were shared to social media.


The show saw David Mitchell and Robert Webb make their long-awaited return to Channel 4, marking a bold return to British sketch comedy.


Across the six episodes, Mitchell and Webb were joined by an ensemble cast of next-generation writer/performers: Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Lara Ricote, Stevie Martin, and Krystal Evans, plus a team of established and up-and-coming writers and this series will see a new ensemble join Mitchell and Webb.


Speaking about the show's return, Channel 4's Head of Comedy, Charlie Perkins, said "They said sketch was dead, but the success of Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping with audiences on linear, streaming and social proves otherwise. Making a hit, on top of having the ability to showcase so many incredible new writers and performers alongside David and Robert, has been an immense honour and joy."
