After James’ poor attempt at getting Maxine to visit him fails, Eric's patience grows thin and he’s urgent to get his appeal heard. Taking matters into his own hands he sends a visiting order to an unbeknown Maxine. Leaving James with the task of getting her to agree to go.

Worried about how he can keep his client happy and in return himself out of jail, James' patience is thin and he snaps at the crumbling mum, reminding her of all the mistakes she made as a parent.

When Maxine receives a visiting order from Eric, James wants to make sure he keeps his freedom and manipulates her into going. But with the legal secretary thinking her boss is just looking out for her, will the truth be discovered?

Crushed with the worry that he might lose both Donna-Mare and Juliet, James is comforted by Ste. Unable to contain his guilty conscience anymore, James regrets his recent selfish actions and blurts out to his fiancé that he has deceived Maxine into visiting Eric.
