Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay and Lashana Lynch also star.

With two new series of Peaky Blinders coming to BBC One, and introducing us to a new generation of Shelbys, it's been confirmed that Jamie Bell will lead the cast as Duke Shelby in a story set ten years after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

Steven Knight, creator and writer of the global hit Peaky Blinders, reignites his world in two new series set in the 1950s, featuring the next generation of the Shelby family.

In this new era, a decade after World War Two, the race to rebuild Birmingham becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and jeopardy. At its blood-soaked heart is Duke Shelby: older, wiser, more ambitious, and most certainly more dangerous.

Also joining the cast in roles yet to be announced are Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski, who's making her television debut.

Speaking about the cast announcement, Peaky Blinders creator and writer Steven Knight, said "I am thrilled that we are announcing a new era of Peaky Blinders, moving the story to post-war Birmingham in the early 50s. We are incredibly fortunate to have Jamie Bell taking the role of Tommy Shelby’s oldest son, Duke, and to have Charlie Heaton also leading the cast. There are more exciting cast announcements to come, and Peaky is on the road again."

Made by Banijay UK’s Kudos and Garrison Drama, the two new six-part series of Peaky Blinders will be filmed at Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham, and will be set in the city.

It'll be executive produced by Steven Knight, Cillian Murphy, Karen Wilson and Martin Haines for Kudos, Jamie Glazebrook for Garrison Drama, Jo McClellan and Danielle Scott Haughton for the BBC and Mona Qureshi and Toby Bentley for Netflix.

Production for the two new series of Peaky Blinders is supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and is the first commission following the new BBC partnership agreement with the WMCA and Create Central to expand BBC and partner production investment in the West Midlands.
