The four-part drama will be filmed in Australia and is a co-production between Channel 5, Network 10 and Fremantle Australia.
Jo Joyner will play Alison, whose life is plunged into despair when her new Australian husband vanishes after a morning surf. Did he get caught in a dangerous riptide – or is there more to his disappearance than meets the eye?

Starring alongside Jo Joyner as Alison will be English actor Ciarán Griffiths and Australian actors David Berry, Peter O’Brien, Ally Fowler, Pia Miranda as well as rising stars Benny Turland, Asher Yasbincek and Yazeed Daher and newcomers Benjamin Samaddar and Sonya Suares.
Riptide has been created by Fremantle Australia’s Jason Herbison who executive produced Neighbours and Lie With Me which was one of Channel 5’s highest rating dramas of 2021 and will be filmed in Melbourne.
