Joel’s fresh start in Walford ends in a shocking attack in EastEnders

Has the teens’ revenge gone too far?

As Vicki struggles to adjust to Joel being in Walford, Ross attempts to find Joel a Sixth Form place.

At school, Joel finds himself on the receiving end of Nugget, Avani and Amy’s anger, and Ross steps in to diffuse the situation.

At home, Vicki and Ross discuss their predicament, but the moment is cut short when Priya and Ravi arrive and rile at the pair. Leaving, Vicky bumps into Mark and gives him some advice about love.

Later, realising no one wants him around, Joel books a train. But after spotting Joel helping Janet, Lily offers him an olive branch and invites him back to No.31 whilst he waits for his train.

As Joel opens up about his struggles whilst in prison, the moment is interrupted when Jean, Amy and Avani arrive.

When Ross finds Joel at the tube station, he pleads for him to stay. But Amy and Avani are angry when they realise Joel isn’t leaving and concoct a plan for Joel. Heading to Peacock Palace, they ask him to join them at the park for an end-of-term celebration. Ross questions the pair but reluctantly agrees.

At the park, Avani, Denzel, Barney, Lily, Amy, Ricky and Nugget lock Joel to a fence and soak him in beer whilst filming his humiliation, and Jack soon receives a call from the police about Joel’s attack.
