But has Robert got the wrong man?

 23-29 MAY

When an edgy Kammy comes to visit her at work, Belle uses Eid as an excuse to probe about his family. But when she sees how uncomfortable the idea makes him feel, she worries that she’s overstepped. And when Aaron texts him about another fire, Kammy leaves in a hurry.

Seeing how stressed Robert is about the arsonist, Aaron encourages him to take a break. But as they head to the pub, neither sees a shadowy figure watching them from the barn.

At the garage, tensions are still high as Aaron notes how tired Kammy looks, and Robert is agitated over the whole arsonist scenario.

When Belle asks Kammy if she can meet his family, she’s taken aback when Kammy gets all awkward and uses a sharp tone to shut the idea down.

Soon, Belle finds herself wanting to check Kammy’s phone and, disgusted at herself, tells Dawn she can’t believe she almost invaded his privacy, but still feels like there’s something he’s not telling her.

Unbeknownst to them, in a barn on Emmerdale Farm, Kammy sets up for the night, and a sleeping bag is rolled out, revealing that Kammy is homeless.

Meanwhile, Aaron’s stressed as Robert’s accusations over who the arsonist could be intensify, and soon, after a tip-off from Matty about someone shifty in their field, he and Aaron rush off to investigate.

Finding Kammy in the field carrying a petrol can and lighter, Robert and Aaron are quick to assume he’s the arsonist.

As snappy Robert grabs him by the jacket, Kammy is wretched as he admits he was planning to torch his car.

Afraid that Robert is going too far, Aaron intervenes, and Kammy makes a run for it. But after another fire, Aaron loses it and calls the police, and Kammy is carted off in a police car.

Emmerdale continues Monday to Friday at 8pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
