Following the scaffolding accident, Terese is determined to generate positive publicity by fast-tracking the announcement of Karl as Eirini Rising’s resident doctor and wellness expert.
When Terese proposes to plaster his image on billboards, Karl is chuffed and motivated by the upcoming photoshoot, Karl amps up his health kick and Melanie decides to join him.
Later, Terese arrives at the Kennedy House and is pleased to hear about Karl’s progress, but when he invites her in to continue the conversation, the reminder of Toadie's act of infidelity in that location becomes too much to bear and Terese can’t bring herself to enter.
With their health kick underway, Melanie, Karl, and his grumbling tummy, are raring for another bike ride. However, as they’re out and about, Karl’s grumbling tummy takes a nasty turn, forcing him to dash into a nearby bush in someone’s front yard for an urgent code brown.
When Terese is rattled to see Melanie for the first time since returning to the street, Paul seems overy concerned for her wellbeing, prompting Jane to enquire whether or not Paul has ulterior motives now that her marriage to Toadie has imploded.
But as Terese insists that Paul is only acting as a supportive friend, she can't bring herself to attend Hope's memorial because of Melanie's presence.
