Kate Winslet and Maxine Peake to lead Jack Thorne's new Netflix drama The Unheard

They'll play two sisters looking to get even.

At this year's Edinburgh Television Festival, Netflix announced The Unheard, a new five-part drama from Jack Thorne, which promises to be a thrilling journey into untold darkness.

It stars Kate Winslet and Maxine Peake as two sisters who go on the run after an act of vengeance goes wrong. As they are desperately pursued, we ask the question: What pushed them to this reckless act, and was it ever their intention to get away with it?
