As Lauren and Peter are bombarded with information about experimental new treatments for visually impaired children, Ian dismisses it as a con, but Lauren is intrigued.

Talking to the doctor offering the experimental treatment for Jimmy, Lauren discovers the initial cost will be £3,000. Armed with the ‘results’ provided, she tells Cindy about the treatment but worries about where to get the cash.

Later, at The Vic's quiz fundraiser, an incident with Jimmy makes Lauren even more desperate to help. And the quiz night final sees the feud between Ian and Elaine escalate further.

Realising she’s been scammed by the ‘doctor’, Lauren finds herself in a state of panic.
