Dave is in hot water when his children, Serena, Lizzie and Sam, confront him in the village accusing him of having an affair. Little do they know that the suspected mistress is his estranged daughter, Maxine, and the secret is finally outed!
But when Tony invites the Chen-Williams family to The Dog for Lunar New Year, they're in no mood to celebrate after finding out Dave’s shocking secret.
Later, dressed as a Chinese red dragon, Sid and Imran celebrate the occasion with a dance. However, things get awkward as Serena goes to tell Sid how she truly feels whilst he’s getting changed, but when she kisses him, she realises it’s not Sid, it’s Imran!
Meanwhile, at The Dog, Diane, Honour, Dave and Tony are having a meal and getting to know each other, as Honour raises a glass to Lunar New Year.
With Lizzie and Sam still cross with Dave for keeping Maxine a secret, Lizzie opens up to him in emotional scenes about feeling like an outsider in her own family, given the fact she’s adopted. But he reassures her of how lucky he is to be her dad.
Sensing something is off with Serena, Dave asks Sam to have a word with her and at school, Sam has his first training session, and Lizzie brings Sid and Imran, things get awkward when Serena arrives.
Noting the shared glances between Sid and Serena, Sam decides to have some stern words.
