As Danielle Harold reprises the first role of her career following a three-and-a-half year absence from the soap.
She was the wild child of Walford, but now viewer-favourite Lola is all grown up and when she arrives in Albert Square in the new year, she won't be alone. She's back with her daughter Lexi, whose father is Ben Mitchell.
Feisty and street-wise, Lola certainly has the Mitchell spirit and was caught up in numerous dramas the last time she was in Walford. Whether it was getting sacked from every job she had or having a baby with Ben Mitchell, there was never a dull moment when Lola was around.
After falling for loveable Jay Brown, the pair planned a new life in Newcastle but Jay was left broken hearted when Lola dumped him before he even had the chance to leave the Square.
Now back and more confident that ever, Lola is a far cry from the teenager who gave birth in McKlunky’s. Mature and confident, Lola is fiercely protective over her daughter Lexi, and isn’t bothered about what anyone thinks of her.
But what brings Lola back to Walford, and how will everyone react?
Speaking about her return to EastEnders, Danielle Harold said “I’m so excited to be returning to EastEnders next year. EastEnders was my first acting job and I have so many happy memories from my time there. I can’t believe it’s been over three years since I left and I can’t wait to get back and find out what Lola has been up to”

How will Jay respond seeing the love of his life walk back into Walford after all these years and for Billy to have his best girl back in town, I can’t wait.”
