Keanu’s world will be turned upside down this summer when Lisa Fowler makes an unannounced visit to Walford, bringing his daughter Peggy Mitchell with her.
Lucy Benjamin, last seen on screen between September 2019 and January 2020, will reprise her role as troubled Lisa for a short stint, three years after helping her daughter flee Walford with ex-fiancé Phil when Louise became convinced that she was responsible for Keanu’s murder.
The pair have been bringing up baby Peggy in Portugal ever since, but little did Louise know that Keanu was actually alive after paid hitman Martin Fowler faked his death and let the terrified Taylor escape.
Now Lisa is back, it’s unclear what has driven her to seek out Keanu but one thing’s for sure, where Lisa goes, trouble inevitably follows…
Speaking ahead of her comeback, Lucy Benjamin said "I can't wait to make my return as Lisa Fowler again after leaving for Spain with Louise and granddaughter Peggy, back in 2019. No doubt, in true Lisa fashion, she will bring with her plenty of drama for many of the characters on the Square, which is why playing her is such a delight."
To which Executive Producer for EastEnders, Chris Clenshaw added "I’m delighted to welcome Lucy back to the iconic role of Lisa Fowler. We last saw Lisa three years ago when she and daughter Louise fled Walford following the Christmas reveal of Sharon and Keanu’s affair. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back for a short while as she and granddaughter Peggy cause trouble between the happy couple."
