After a few beers, Mack’s upset when a drunken Nate makes an ill-timed joke about his affair and the pair are put on the spot when Ryan senses something is awry and orders them to spill the beans.
Eventually, Ryan squeezes out the truth of the fling from Mack who's trapped when Ryan insists that he needs to tell Charity.
The next day, Mack worries about how he'll be able to tell Charity the truth and threatens to fight back any accusations and Ryan’s beaten. Mack’s left relieved to be safe, at least for the moment.
The following day, Ryan struggles with keeping Mack’s secret and Mack’s even more shaken when he gets a call from his one-night stand and sets off to deal with the situation.
On the outskirts of the village, Mack’s on edge as he awaits his secret meeting and his one-night stand is revealed.
