Marie relapses as she discovers a huge family betrayal in Hollyoaks

Is she fit enough to look after Arlo?



FOR WEEK COMMENCING 6TH MAY

The visit goes well from Arlo’s social worker and he seems settled at home, but a phone call to Arlo reveals something seems amiss and Marie’s youngest son may have other plans.



The following day at the Lomaxes, its Arlo’s birthday and Marie doesn’t want to let him out of her sight. But after receiving texts from his dad, Arlo feels let down by his gift from his mum and runs away, with his dad’s girlfriend bringing him the tablet he wanted.


When Marie looks at Arlo’s laptop it has videos on it that reveal a huge family betrayal.


Later, Arlo tells Marie the truth, that Abe had told him that Marie couldn’t and didn’t want to look after him and Marie has her own party at The Dog.


Meanwhile, Cleo tells Joel that Abe was behind Arlo’s kidnapping and standing up to Abe, she give him some home truths. When Tony calls Joel, they both go to find Marie who has found her way home, but collapses.


After resuscitating Marie, it emerges that Abe has had to do it before and Marie admits her some was right to fear for Arlo's safety in her sole care.


Back at the McQueens things gets tense between Abe and Cleo and he walks out.


After cancelling work to care for Marie, Abe cleans up the house. When Marie struggles that she has relapsed, Abe throws his arms around her as she questions her fitness as a mum.


Meanwhile, Cleo tries to make peace with Marie, but her selfish response divides them and Marie pushes Abe to make it up with her. Before long, Abe wins Cleo and the McQueens round.
