Mason's outburst shocks Maxine in Hollyoaks

Could the teen be forced back into Eric's schemes?

After some convincing from Romeo, Eric agrees to go on a blind date with Maxine but after struggling to keep his extreme views in check at the table, things take a bitter turn and when she suggests that they stay friends, Eric bites back.

Having impressed Verity with an impromptu legal argument, Maxine is encouraged to work towards a new career. But when her back is turned, someone leaves a vicious message in one of her textbooks.

Reeling from the sinister message left for her, Maxine is convinced Eric is to blame and after deciding to confront him, she’s shocked when Mason provides an alibi. But is all as it seems?

Embarrassed, Maxine drowns her sorrows at The Dog and drunkenly falls into a pile of rubbish on her way home. As she drifts in and out of consciousness, she catches the attention of a passerby. Could someone still have it out for her?

Waking up to a slur written on her forehead in lipstick, Maxine's drunken night comes back to her in flashbacks as she starts to fear the worst. Could a sudden realisation reveal the man behind it all?

And later, a shocking accusation and a refusal to accept defeat has harsh consequences for Maxine.

Determined to cheer Maxine up, Scott enlists Dave’s help and together, the pair encourage her to get back into studying. But a blameful comment from Dave about Maxine’s drinking leads to a major setback.

Meanwhile, glued to the Men’s First page chat, Mason watches the hateful comments against Ella build up. When Maxine checks on him and playfully takes his phone, a shocking outburst reveals that there’s more to Mason’s mood than meets the eye. But will he tell her the full story?

Later, Mason makes a difficult choice. Seething from Mason’s decision, Eric warns him that there will be consequences for his actions. Could the teen be forced into Eric's schemes?
