But can she prove her innocence?

 10-16 JANUARY

The village’s morning peace is abruptly broken as a convoy of police vehicles heads down Main Street, and DC Stewart arrives at Butlers Farm to interview the staff.

Moira heads off to collect Cain from the hospital, and Robert and Victoria do their best to paint Moira in an innocent light in their interview and are left hoping they’ve done enough.

As their interview wraps up, Cain and Moira arrive home, and their interview begins. Moira is left hoping she’s said enough as DS Walsh pushes her for answers about her relationship with Celia.

When the police arrive to question Joe at Home Farm, he doesn’t paint Moira in an entirely innocent light.

Before long, up at the farm, Cain and Moira are interrupted by the police arriving with a search warrant. Confident she has nothing to hide, Moira allows the police to begin their search, and the police emerge from the lounge having found evidence.

Moira is arrested on the spot on suspicion of human trafficking, and as she's led away by the police, Caleb prepares to help Cain by getting Moira the best lawyer possible.

Cain is worried that the police have kept Moira at the station overnight, and when she eventually returns from the police station exhausted, she's terrified and tells a worried Cain and Mack that she doesn’t see a way out of these accusations.

Arriving at the pub later, Moira is mortified to see Paddy and apologises profusely, adamant she had nothing to do with Bear’s disappearance. When Paddy believes her, he’s left grateful for her sympathy and support.

Meanwhile, Kim asks Joe if he had anything to do with Moira’s arrest, but eventually decides she doesn’t want to know, and urges him to stay out of it.

Once she’s left, Joe makes a secret phone call asking for an update.

Emmerdale continues Monday to Friday at 8pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
