Later, Paddy calls around to apologise to Marlon and after they express their gratitude for each other, Paddy holds Marlon as if he’ll never let him go. For Marlon, having his friendship with Paddy back is the best birthday gift.
The next day, Paddy’s grateful when Rhona trusts he’s ready to return to work and later in the Woolpack backroom, Paddy and Chas manage to have a civilised conversation about breaking the news to Eve that Paddy is moving out.
The following day, having understood Marlon’s concerns about Paddy leaving the village, Liam steps in by inviting Paddy to move in with him. Paddy is elated, but has Liam bitten off more than he can chew when Bear moves in too unannounced?
Before long, Paddy’s friends are all trying to support him but he’s still struggling.
