Paddy's love and support in Emmerdale leaves Chas feeling ashamed

Is Belle about to reveal all about her affair with Al?

When Chas finds some of Faith’s old possessions, she gets emotional and is supported by Paddy. And she's grateful for her family as she and Eve together decorate the Christmas tree.

Later, a family dinner with Rhona and Marlon leaves Chas more in love and grateful for Paddy and Eve than ever before.

After a wholesome afternoon with Paddy and Eve, Chas is finally ready to put Al in the past and appreciate her family and before long, an utterly loved-up Paddy surprises Chas with a gift.

Grateful for his endless support, Chas is privately ashamed she nearly left him.

Meanwhile, Chloe tells Belle that Al took someone out to dinner the night Faith died and the penny drops for Belle who realises Chas never actually ended her affair with Al.

When Belle confronts Chas about being at Westgrove Hall Hotel with Al the night Faith died, a cornered Chas is unable to deny the affair any longer. And when she suggests their affair is the reason Cain killed Al, Chas wonders whether to admit to believing this theory too.

Manic with fear and terrified that Belle will tell the family, Chas is delighted when Paddy books them a surprise getaway.

Breaking down in front of Moira, Belle admits what she knows and Moira is furious as she begins to put two and two together over Cain’s imprisonment and Al’s death.

The next day, Chas prepares for her trip away with Paddy and is relieved that they are both getting away from it all. But are they?

Emmerdale continues Mondays to Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV
