Panic sets in when things don't go to plan with Sarah's operation in Emmerdale

Will Charity regret their ill-timed row?

Assuming Cain knows, Jacob mentions Sarah’s IVF, only to be furious that Jacob is more in the loop about his granddaughter’s life than he is.

Sarah arrives just in time to witness him threatening Jacob. Cain is left kicking himself as his angry reaction to her news leaves him and a defiant Sarah at odds. 

However, as Sarah chats to Jacob, she admits that Cain’s negative reaction to her baby plan has left her doubting herself. And whilst Jacob does his best to reassure her, he himself is left thoughtful.

With Sarah’s fears over her mortality causing her to doubt her dream of having a baby, she’s left stunned when Jacob offers to be the sperm donor. Caught in a dilemma, will she decide to accept his offer?

At the hospital, Sarah’s grateful for Charity’s unflinching support as the seriousness of the day becomes an unavoidable reality for them both.

Before she heads off for her cancer operation, Sarah wants to hear that Charity is in full support of her plan, but instead she tries to tell Sarah that she can still support her even though she thinks that she may be making the wrong decision.

Having broken Sarah’s heart before she heads off for the operation, Charity is left distraught. And as Cain and Charity anxiously await their granddaughter’s return from surgery, Cain does his best to comfort a dejected Charity in the aftermath of her ill-timed row with Sarah.

Soon, they’re both panicked to the core when the surgeon tells them things haven’t gone to plan with Sarah’s operation.
