But will it be a happy family reunion?

10-16 MAY
When she finds a letter addressed to ‘The Family of Emma Barton’, Moira is left wrestling with her conscience as she chooses not to share it with Ross.

Haunted by memories of the past, Moira finally shows Ross the mysterious letter and the news that he has a half-brother, whom he’s never met, throws him off balance. And Moira is concerned to see Ross wants to bury his head in the sand over it.
Soon, Matty urges Ross he’s got nothing to lose from meeting him and it could even change his life for the better. His intervention is enough to convince Ross to contact Lewis and Moira’s shocked he plans on doing it today, fearing the past has come back to bite her.
In some woodland, Ross comes face to face with Lewis and struggles to navigate his many questions about their family, without revealing the many dark secrets he needs to keep. But it becomes increasingly hard for Lewis and Ross to have a conversation about the past without upsetting each other. In the end, Ross decides to go, leaving a hurt Lewis behind for good.
Back home, Ross explains to Moira it was a mutual decision for them to abandon any family reunion. But is that the last they’ve seen of Lewis?
Emmerdale continues Mondays to Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
