The truth of who killed Ray is finally revealed in a week of flashbacks in Emmerdale

In an explosive week on Emmerdale, we rewind the clock to the moment of Ray's murder, offering different perspectives on the dramatic events that led to his death.


Each day focuses on a different suspect, peeling back the different details of their fortnight-long ordeal and exposing their darkest secrets, murderous intent regarding the shocking chain of events that culminated in a life-or-death confrontation.


Expect a week packed with dramatic twists as the truth about who killed Ray is exposed.



On Monday, as we see the suspects in Ray's murder, the focus turns to Laurel, as immediately after Celia’s murder, Ray stands over his mother’s dead body, before collecting himself, grabbing a distinctive red bag and heading for the door.


Laurel is left reeling by the truth about Ray and rushes home, refusing to listen to the man she once loved and the monster he has been revealed to be, when he arrives at Mulberry.



After refusing to listen to his pleas, Ray bursts back into Mulberry, begging Laurel to believe his traumatic past. But when Laurel refuses to accept his narrative of victimhood, Ray is left begging for his freedom.



Laurel's decision to let him walk away has deadly consequences, especially when a furious Arthur resolves to make Ray pay for his mother's pain.


Urged by Nicola to lure Ray into a trap, Laurel must decide if she's prepared to risk everything to ensure justice is finally served.



On Tuesday, we begin with a compilation of scenes reflecting Rhona’s journey over the past two weeks.


Immediately after Celia’s murder, we see Ray standing over his mother’s dead body, before collecting himself, grabbing a distinctive red bag and heading for the door.


Before he leaves, Ray grabs a cloth and wipes his fingerprints off the knife in his mum’s back.



With Rhona in despair over April's disappearance, Marlon continues to spiral. And when she’s left home alone, we see a shadowy figure looming behind her!



On Wednesday, we begin with a compilation of scenes reflecting Marlon’s journey over the past two weeks.


Following Celia’s murder, Ray stands over her dead body, the silence amplifying his shock and anguish. He soon collects himself and leaves, grabbing a distinctive red sports bag.


Before exiting, he grabs a cloth and wipes his fingerprints off the knife in Celia’s back, but finds himself drawn upstairs. He can barely bring himself to look at Bear’s lifeless body as he’s overwhelmed with grief for this departed father figure.


Meanwhile, a despairing Marlon is convinced that Ray has April, and is determined to get answers from him. Armed with a knife and murderous intent, he sets out to find Ray.



Elsewhere, Paddy is devastated to learn the full horror of Bear's captivity and is left speechless when Ray brutally delivers the news that his father is dead.


The heartbreak quickly turns to fury as Paddy is warned to back off or Dylan will pay the price. With both Marlon and Paddy pushed to the limit, who will make the first move?



And what exactly is Ross planning with that gun?



On Thursday, we begin with a montage of key plot points regarding the murder and the main suspects are shown.


Following Celia’s murder, Ray stands over her dead body, the silence amplifying his shock and anguish. He soon collects himself and leaves, grabbing a distinctive red sports bag.


Before exiting, he grabs a cloth and wipes his fingerprints off the knife in Celia’s back, but finds himself drawn upstairs to Bear’s room. He can barely bring himself to look at Bear’s lifeless feet and sheds a tear for his departed father figure.


Regaining control of his emotions, Ray projects a cold demeanour as he prepares to dispose of the body of the mother he murdered. Left utterly broken, Ray’s despair doesn't stop him from threatening Eve to ensure Paddy's silence.



Outside the Village Hall, a raging Arthur snatches Ray’s distinctive red holdall. And Laurel is aghast when Arthur returns with Ray's stolen bag, and the shock of finding drugs leads to a confrontation.


As we finally find out who murdered Ray, who will it be?



On Friday, in the shocking aftermath of Ray's death, we see the grim reality of moving a corpse, as Ray’s body is bundled into the back of Jai's depot van. A slip-up means the corpse is driven away by an oblivious Jai.
