On the day of the auction, Paddy is sad to see Chas initially refuse to attend, as she doesn't want to see Kim snatch away her pub, but when Charity hits a nerve, she's emboldened to attend after all, which delights Paddy as she’s not going down without a fight.
At the Auction House, there's tension from the villagers as the auctioneer prepares to start. Just as the auctioneer is ready to sell the Woolpack to the highest bid, Cain shoots his hand up and bids and Moira is relieved when he's outbid by an online bidder.
Later, with the pub sold to a mystery online bidder, Marlon and Chas are interested to know who the new owner of the Woolpack is. As Faith fails to get the name from the auctioneer, she is informed that they would like to meet both Marlon and Chas in person.
Chas is fearful of who the mystery buyer is.
