As Eileen heads to the mortuary to identify a body which could be Todd's, Sean offers to accompany her but she insists on going alone. And Billy is horrified to hear from Sean that Todd could be dead.
Awash with guilt, will Eileen go along with Todd's plan and wrongly identify the body to save her son's skin? The answer is no. After telling a relieved Billy that it wasn’t Todd’s body, Eileen calls Todd to admit that she couldn't bring herself to lie for him, leaving him furious.
Turning to Mary, Eileen confesses that Todd is alive and well and she's been meeting up with him in secret. But when Mary tells George about Eileen’s predicament with her son and Mick Costello, he warns her that Mick is dangerous. With an idea forming in his head, George calls a mate.
At No.11. Eileen tells Todd she’s sorry for letting him down. Accepting her apology, he explains she’s left him with no option but to disappear and she’ll never see him again, leaving Eileen devastated.
In order for her son to get on with his life, Eileen scrapes together £1300 so that he can pay off Mick. However Mary has other ideas and shows Eileen a hearse complete with a coffin and flowers depicting Todd’s name.
It's left to George to explain that staging a mock funeral will make Mick think Todd's dead, but will Eileen go along with the hoax?
Letting himself in to No.11, Todd starts searching for Eileen's cash, but is forced to hide when Mick arrives and reveals to Eileen that he and Todd were lovers, but Todd stole from him.
Hearing a noise, Mick realises Todd is upstairs and holds the Grimshaws at gunpoint!
Turning up at the furniture store to threaten Gary, Mick and one of his sidekicks believe he's in cahoots with Todd. As Mick makes his getaway, they almost run over Gail, who furiously takes a picture of the registration plate.
Maria’s horrified to find Gary battered and bleeding in the furniture shop and forces him to tell Craig everything. But where is Todd?
