Todd blackmails Charity after discovering her huge secret in Emmerdale

As Dr Todd attends her father's funeral, Jacob begins to worry that the feud with Todd may have gone a little too far.

Later, Jacob tells Sarah he feels guilty about how nasty things got, but Sarah reminds him that Todd made his life a misery. Hoping to move on, Jacob visits Dr Todd to offer condolences for her father's funeral and apologises for their past conflict. When Todd accepts the apology, Jacob dares to hope that they’ve made progress.

Later, in the pub, Mary plays matchmaker and pushes Vanessa to ask Dr Todd out, who accepts, and the pair set up a date. But just when Jacob thinks their relationship has stabilised, Todd suggests she’s privy to a secret that could make his life hellish.

Panicked to learn that Todd has been alluding to her secret in front of Jacob, Charity advises Jacob to give Todd a wide berth.

As they chat, Todd tells Vanessa she has received a letter revealing she’s inherited her dad’s home in Matlock. Worried that the distance will jeopardise any potential relationship, Vanessa suggests they should just be friends. But Todd declares she can’t move until she’s raised some funds, and begins to form a plan.

Meanwhile, in the beer garden, Todd warns Charity she has definitive proof that she and Ross are Leyla’s genetic parents and demands she pay her to keep the secret.
