Todd tightens her grip on Charity, who makes a desperate offer in Emmerdale

Can Charity raise the cash before it’s too late?

Furious to have been declined a loan extension, Charity feels the pressure when Todd texts, reminding her of her debts.

When Vanessa voices how she had expected Todd to sneak into her room last night, Todd assures her that she wanted to but doesn’t want to rush things. Although Vanessa is buoyed that she is staying, Todd checks her phone for Charity’s reply: clearly her priority.

Later, Charity’s left clinging to a shred of hope when it looks like Ruby might be interested in buying her share of the pub, but Caleb soon turns the idea down, thinking of the backlash from the village. But he can tell that Charity’s desperate.

Returning from upstairs later on, Charity is terrified to find Todd holding Leyla in the living room, who asks what she and Caleb were talking about. When Charity explains, Todd firmly gives her a hard deadline of one week to get her money.

Soon, in the pub toilets, Todd continues to meddle in Charity’s life, who tells her to back off, but Charity realises she has no power over the situation, leaving Todd feeling triumphant.

Meanwhile, an optimistic Vanessa beams about how well it’s seemingly going with Todd, which Sarah listens to with disgust.

Soon, Charity warns Vanessa off Todd, and Vanessa promises she’ll be careful. And when Charity makes Kim an offer, half of the pub at a discounted price, she tells her she’ll consider it. Will Charity get Todd off her back any time soon?
