 BRAND NEW COMEDY

IT GETS WORSE

Thursday 22nd October at 10.05pm and 10.35pm on Channel 4

Stream on Channel 4

Launching this week on Channel 4 is It Gets Worse, a new comedy written and created by rising star Leo Reich and narrated by acclaimed novelist Zadie Smith.

It Gets Worse follows best friends from uni, Ethan, Abi, and Sam, played by Leo Reich, Emily Fairn and Olive Gray, who are soulmates for life and dysfunctional roommates.

It's been one year since they finally moved to London, and collectively, they have accomplished nothing. And now their landlord is selling up. They’re getting kicked out. What now?

Can they keep their friendships alive when they are scattered across a city that seems to want them dead? Can they find a six out of ten or higher to have bad sex with? Can they get their shit together when the world is so obviously falling apart? Probably not. But they’re going to have fun trying.

It's a show about three young people who are starting to look around themselves, at their humiliating jobs, their non-existent love lives and their rapidly dwindling will to live, and think: wait. Wait wait WAIT. Surely it gets better than this? It has to get better than this. Right? Spoiler alert! It doesn’t.

The series also stars Sean Delaney, Dane Williams, India Mullen, John Tothill, Arian Nik, Safia Oakley-Green, Nicole Sadie Sawyerr, Phil Zimmerman, Billy Rilot, Kirsty Bloom, Luca Kamleh-Chapman and Emmeline Downie. Guest stars include Andrew Scott, Lena Dunham, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Blake Harrison, Vicki Pepperdine and Clayton Pettet, known professionally as Babymorocco.

And it's not just their rivals they need to watch out for. Cursed props, ghostly interruptions and spine-tingling surprises are all designed to catch even the bravest comic off guard. The rules are simple: laugh and you're out, scream and you're out. Who will survive Last One Laughing: Halloween?

Taking part are Harriet Dyer, Jack Dee, Phil Wang, Reece Shearsmith and Tom Allen, alongside Daisy May Cooper and Lou Sanders, who both took part in the first series of Last One Laughing.
