 BRAND NEW COMPETITION SHOW

FUNNY AF WITH KEVIN HART

Monday 20th April

Netflix

Kevin Hart knows what it takes to turn a mic and a dream into comedy superstardom. In Funny AF, he’s searching for the next comedian ready to follow that path.

In this uncensored comedy competition, 44 rising stand-ups from across the country step into the spotlight, hoping to make the same leap Kevin once did from grinding it out in small clubs to headlining their own specials.

Along the way, Kevin and a circle of comedy heavyweights, Keegan-Michael Key, Chelsea Handler, Kumail Nanjiani, and Tom Segura, will decide who progresses in the competition, offering a behind-the-curtain look at the pressure, triumphs and occasional bombs that shape a career in stand-up.

The mission is simple. To find the next great voice in comedy with the guts, perspective, and punchlines to become the next household name. The competition builds to two live final rounds, the semi-final on 4th May and the final on 5th May, where a global vote will determine the ultimate winner.

 BRAND NEW DRAMA

HALF MAN

Friday 24th April

BBC iPlayer

Following the huge success of Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd returns this week with a new drama, Half Man, in which he also stars alongside Jamie Bell. They play estranged ‘brothers’ Niall and Ruben.

They're not related in blood, but the closest you can get. One, fierce and loyal. The other, meek and mild-mannered. Inseparable youth. Brought into each other’s lives through death and circumstance, all they have is each other…

But when Ruben turns up at Niall’s wedding three decades later, everything seems different. He is on edge. Shifty. Not acting like himself. And soon, an explosion of violence takes place, which catapults us back through their lives, from the eighties to the present day.

Capturing 30 years in the lives of these broken men, Half Man explores brotherhood, violence, and the intense fragility of male relationships. After all, when things fall apart… it is sometimes the closest relationships which break the hardest.

Half Man also stars Charlie De Melo, Bilal Hasna, Julie Cullen, Amy Manson, Anjli Mohindra, Tim Downie, Tom Andrews, Philippine Velge, Stuart McQuarrie, Sandy Batchelor, Piers Ewart, Scot Greenan, and newcomers Charlotte Blackwood, Calum Manchip and Kate Robson-Stuart.

 BRAND NEW REALITY TV

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Friday 24th April

9pm | ITV1

ITV's brand new reality entertainment format, The Neighbourhood, hosted by Graham Norton, launches this week and sees families and households compete in a street-sized popularity contest, battling it out for the chance to take home a life-changing £250,000 cash prize.

The Neighbourhood promises to be a gameshow as you’ve never seen it before, marrying high-stakes competition, neighbourhood challenges, and relatable domestic drama to offer a different flavour of reality. It sees real-life households from all walks of life move in and live side by side, finding themselves not only neighbours, but also fierce competitors in the ultimate reality showdown.

This is a game the households will live as well as play, as they’ll be with each other 24/7, sleeping and eating in their houses, socialising together and then voting each other out. The challenges they face in public will change the dynamics behind closed doors, and they’ll need to beat their neighbours while still staying popular on the street to win.
