 FINAL SEASON   PART TWO

STRANGER THINGS

Christmas Day

Netflix

ree

As the final episode of Stranger Things edges nearer, Christmas Day sees the show return to Netflix with three brand new episodes.

Season five kicks off in the fall of 1987. With Hawkins scarred by the opening of the Rifts, the show's heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished and his whereabouts and plans are unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.

As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming, and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone, the full party, standing together, one last time.

This year, The Repair Shop at Christmas opens its barn doors wide open to welcome some very special guests who have brought along cherished items in need of a festive fix. Including Dame Helen Mirren with a beloved but badly broken cello which was owned by theatre director Martin Landau, Julia Donaldson with a toy farmhouse that once belonged to her granny and Rob Brydon who asks the barn’s team of experts to create a series of toy characters for the children to enjoy, based on those in Julia’s books.

Also arriving at the barn is a life-sized mechanical Rudolph belonging to the Leicestershire fire service. And in their packed Christmas schedule, Dom and Will also find time to restore a battered and broken sledge that has been at the heart of one family’s Christmases for a remarkable eight decades.

And bookbinder Chris Shaw breathes new life back into a torn and tattered carol book that has played a central role in a much-celebrated yuletide cultural tradition in Sheffield.
