Aaron confronts Rhett and Colton over Nicolette’s theory in Neighbours

But in doing so, has he lost them both?

After trying and failing to poke holes in Nicolette’s theory that Rhett and Colton have hooked up, Aaron, convinced that it’s true, confronts his beaus only to find there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything.

With Rhett and Colton livid with him. Aaron scolds Nicolette for getting in his head and giving him dodgy intel. But when he apologises to Rhett and Colton they’re both disappointed by Aaron’s hypocrisy. He’s not exclusive with them, so they don’t owe him their exclusivity in return.

Aside from this issue of the double standard, Aaron’s antics have taken an emotional toll on Rhett and Colton. He’s hurt them, and Aaron can only wear his mistake on the chin. The irony is, this whole mess has brought Rhett and Colton together, so much so, that they start hanging out without Aaron. Maybe he’s pushed his two love interests towards each other.

Aaron is relieved when there seems to be a thaw with Colton and Rhett, but things escalate when Colton makes it clear he still wants to be more than friends.

Later, on an afternoon out with Isla, Aaron bumps into Rhett and his daughter, Tilly, also on a playdate. It’s clear there’s the potential for a real connection between Aaron and Rhett, leaving him more conflicted than ever.

When Rhett appears at his house with an ultimatum, Aaron is forced to choose once and for all where his heart lies.
