Can Annalise trust Sam? And can Paul let go?

 23-29 AUGUST

Ropeable by the hotel ban Lucy’s imposed on him, at first, Paul tries to ignore it, but Lucy, Krista and Annalise make it clear he’s in the bad books and needs to stay away.

Annalise is spooked when she thinks she sees her ex, Sam Kratz. But why would he be in Australia? It gets her thinking about how he knew her email password, something she never changed after they broke up, and she begins to wonder if he’s possibly still accessing her account.

What Annalise doesn’t know is that Sam is indeed back in the country, and he’s visiting the Kennedys, catching up on lost time.

Later, with Susan by his side, Sam goes to see Annalise but is met with hostility. She’s had it confirmed by IT that someone’s been accessing her emails and angrily accuses Sam of trying to sabotage the jewellery exhibition. He’s the reason things have been going wrong in recent weeks! But is Sam really the saboteur?

Meanwhile, Terese makes moves to help Paul out of this mess and with Susan’s help, they’re going to rebuild the occupancy rates at Eirini Rising, and improve their cash flow.

With Annalise hestitant to believe his claims that he didn’t sabotage her at Lassiters, Sam wholeheartedly apologises for his errors and desperately pleads for forgiveness. Despite his commitment to starting a new life in Lorne with her, his manipulative behaviour leaves Annalise torn over whether to give him another chance.

Sam fears he’s lost her forever, but a dose of famous Susan Kennedy advice helps Annalise find clarity. Despite everything, she still loves Sam and agrees to try again and the rekindled couple are all set to start a new life together in Lorne.

As the jewellery expo kicks off, Lucy’s ban keeps Paul sidelined from the main event but he finds a sly way to ingratiate himself so he can take part.

When Team Lassiters find their showstopping jewellery display has been vandalised overnight, the event is put in jeopardy and Annalise finds a creative solution to keep

Johan happy. But the real issue is figuring out who’s responsible. She can’t help wondering if this is another instance of Sam trying to sabotage her.

Meanwhile, Taye observes Katrina Marshall taking a shady call and then busts her when she sets off a fire alarm in the complex. Taye confronts her, with Paul and Krista on hand as Katrina spills the beans. She’s been causing all the disruptions at Lassiters, for Brett Heade, the most incompetent manager the hotel has ever seen.

The pair have become romantically involved, and Brett has been coaxing Katrina into creating chaos as a form of revenge. With that mystery solved and Annalise leaving Lassiters, Paul expects to be reinstated, but Krista won’t allow it. She’s serious about taking on the top job on her own.

The time has come for Paul to step back, but can he?
