It's crazy golf... but not as you know it!

ITV has announced a new show hosted by Ant & Dec, Holey Moley, which brings the extreme crazy golf show to the UK stage in a four-part entertainment television event.

Hosts Ant & Dec will be at the helm and joined throughout the series by a host of famous faces, and across each episode, eight players will go head-to-head to win the Holey Moley golden putter, green plaid jacket and a “fantastic” prize.

To get there, the contestants must step into the Holey Moley alternative universe and combine precision putting with stamina and nerve as they battle through ambitious, larger-than-life holes.

From spinning windmills and exploding obstacles to slippery slopes and surprise hazards, competitors must combine skill, agility and determination to stay in the game.

Holey Moley promises to transform crazy golf into an “adrenaline-fuelled primetime event” as contestants tackle an “epic, zany, visually jaw-dropping course packed with inventive obstacles, physical challenges and laugh-out-loud jeopardy.”

Speaking ahead of the new series, Ant said "This show is absolutely perfect for us. It’s all about pure fun and entertainment for the whole family from start to finish. Anyone who knows us knows we are adore golf, but you don’t need to be a golf fanatic to enjoy it, there’s something for everyone!"

To which Dec added "Holey Moley blends the game with huge entertaining moments that the whole family can sit down together, watch and enjoy. It’s epic, bold and full of laughs. We’re really excited to bring the show to the UK!"

Holey Moley is co-produced by Talkback Thames (a Fremantle label) and Mitre Studios.

ITV's Director of Entertainment, Reality & Daytime Commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, said "We couldn’t be more excited to announce a brand-new entertainment format presented by Ant & Dec. Holey Moley is brilliantly competitive and enormous fun, making it a compelling watch for all."

To which Talkback Thames' Managing Director, Charlie Irwin said "Holey Moley is big, it’s funny and it’s unapologetically entertaining. And Gemma Nightingale, Head of Entertainment at Mitre Studios, said "Holey Moley is a fantastically fun format that’s perfect for the whole family. It has a bit of everything; ambition, tension, laugh-out-loud moments and of course Ant & Dec, who’ll be teeing off all the action.
