Cara confronts Lydia after being stunned by Taye's confession in Neighbours

Could Cara's actions cause trouble for Taye?

 21-27 JUNE

After receiving a message from Lydia, who wants to meet up, Taye makes an excuse to bail on a poker game with Remi. Later, Remi is hurt and confused when she discovers that he lied about having to go to work.

Later, Remi and Cara confront Taye, and in haste to avoid their questioning, he accidentally drops a large wad of cash that he’s just received, as payment for services rendered from Lydia. As Cara’s suspicions are aroused, she snoops through Taye’s car and finds Lydia’s police ID badge.

Confronting Taye, Cara demands answers and is shocked by what she’s told. Stunned by Taye’s confession, Cara cannot reconcile the story with Lydia, and despite Cara and Remi being supportive, Taye remains anxious. When JJ and Dex are told what has happened, they're overawed.

When Cara confronts Lydia, she denies everything and threatens retaliatory action. So Cara tells the Academy, who arrange for Lydia to be re-assigned while someone else, an old friend

of Lydia’s will be put in charge of Cara.

With Cara worried about possible blowback, Taye approaches Byron for help, who pleads with Lydia not to involve Cara. And Cara is hopeful when Byron reports that she seemed to agree.

Despite Taye being warmed by the support of his family and friends, there's a sense that trouble lies ahead.
