Cara scares Remi away after leaning in for a kiss in Neighbours

But will JJ and Dex forgive Remi for her actions?

After taking advice from Susan, Remi extends an olive branch to Cara to have dinner together and Dex and JJ are full of suggestions. However, Cara pares back the boys’ romantic dinner set up so as not to scare Remi off.

As Remi and Cara relax into their dinner, Cara regales her with an anecdote and is delighted when she laughs just as she had when she first heard it.

When Remi asks about their old life together, Cara suggests a trip to Werribee, which Remi is keen to do. And Remi makes a point of saying what an amazing job they have both done with raising Dex and JJ.

Misreading the moment, Cara goes in for a kiss and Remi leaves, feeling cheated by Cara’s intentions and feels like she can't trust her.

Giving herself a hard time for her mistake, Cara apologises to Remi for letting the moment get the better of her, but Remi wants to put some space between them,

While Remi spends a day with the kids having childish fun, Cara goes to work and is so distracted she struggles with the basics.

When a message from the hospital comes through to Remi’s phone, approving her request to drop the Murphy from her name. JJ and Dex are blindsided and gutted by the gesture.

Feeling it's a form of rejection, they seek comfort from Cara at work, where she feels self-conscious about her family problems invading her workplace, especially when Remi follows to apologise to the boys.

Cara speaks up for the boys, as given Remi hasn’t forgotten them, there’s no excuse for not considering their feelings.

Called out, Remi confides in Susan and Terese about dropping the ball as a mum and opens up about the difficulties of remembering her life differently to everyone around her. Having been through a similar experience, Susan advises Remi to give herself time for the pieces to fall back into place.
