After Sarah accidentally killed Todd, Charity falsely confesses to the murder to protect her, with Serena framing it as self-defence.

Despite this, DS Ramsden remains suspicious, and he interrupts Charity's catch-up with Serena.

Meanwhile, Jacob vows to ask no more questions about Todd, but Sarah is conflicted about leaving her husband in the dark, as Charity maintains her false confession.
