As Fiz and Tyrone argue, Hope slips out to the factory where she hides behind some boxes. Realising she's missing, Tyrone rounds up a search party and Fiz calls the police but when Ali and Maria hear Hope’s cries for help coming from the factory, they're horrified to see her surrounded by burning boxes.
Forcing his way in through the smoke, Ali is intent on rescuing her. Emerging with Hope, Fiz and Tyrone are overcome with relief. As the police interview Hope over the fire, Tyrone realises she's lying when she tells them that she saw two lads running away and it becomes clear that their troubles are far from over. But Fiz believes Hope when she tells her that she had nothing to do with the fire.
As they wait for Hope to get a place at Bessie Street, Fiz decides it's best that they home school Hope but Tyrone worries that Hope will see it as an easy ride. Meanwhile checking she’s alone, Fiz makes a surreptitious phone call.
Yasmeen is devastated after Geoff tells her he hasn't got long left to live, but despite him telling her that no one else must know, Yasmeen confides in Sally that Geoff has terminal cancer. But when Sally and Tim offer Geoff their help, he tells them that Yasmeen has got the wrong end of the stick.
Handing her some printouts he says he has SVT, a non life threatening condition, leaving Yasmeen feeling awful. But Alya reckons Geoff lifted his printouts from the internet - listening in Geoff then staggers into the back garden and fakes a funny turn.
Rushing round to No.4. Yasmeen apologises and begs Geoff to move back in with her, happy to be back together and back in control Geoff suggests they celebrate with a night in.
At Geoff’s insistence, Yasmeen has a clear out at No.6 and asks Alya to pick up the last of her stuff as Geoff will be using her room for his magic.
After telling him that she intends to run away with Jan, Seb tries his best to make Eileen change her mind, forcing her to admit that they have accepted witness protection. However Seb worries when he hears Polish voices coming from inside a strange van parked nearby.
As he approaches the van, he’s taken aback to see Mary emerge who’s been watching a Polish movie in her new home. Worried about her living conditions and knowing that Eileen’s moving away, he offers Mary a room at No.11.
Making out she’s off on a two-week holiday, Eileen bids Steve and Tim an emotional goodbye but after questioning her sudden decision, Sean realises that she's planning to run away with Jan. Horrified, he visits Jan in hospital and tells him that if he really loves Eileen and cares for her safety, he’ll let her go.
As she bids an emotional farewell to Seb, Eileen heads off to the hospital to start her new life with Jan.
Emma is touched when Steve offers to help her pack up her Dad's things. And after seeing James flirt with Emma over the bar, Steve admits to Dev that he can’t help feeling protective towards her.
When Emma reveals that her Dad wanted his ashes scattered at County’s ground, Steve enlists the help of James and Michael. Arriving at the ground they’re approached by a security guard demanding to know what they’re up to, will Steve’s plan be thwarted?
Pleading Emma's case, the security guard relents and allows them onto the pitch. As they raise a toast to Emma’s Dad, Emma’s touched to discover it was Steve’s idea to go to County’s ground.
Keen to get to know her new sister, Amy suggests they invite Emma round for tea. As Steve and Tracy fuss round her Emma just wishes they’d relax, feeling uncomfortable she makes her excuses and leaves.
Later, Emma and Steve have a heart-to-heart and he's touched after she tells him that he'll never replace her Dad but she’d like them to be mates.
Daniel’s flattered when Bethany asks him to read over her grooming article and after reading it, he's really impressed and showers her with praise.
Reminding Sinead that they’re getting married next week, Daniel worries that her heart isn’t in it after she admits she hasn’t even sorted out the witnesses.
With Sinead wanting a more low key affair, they both row about their wedding plans with Daniel accusing her of putting her beard oil business before the wedding. Suggesting they call the whole thing off, Daniel storms off after she agrees.
When the Gazette fail to print her article, Bethany is left feeling disappointed but feels like Daniel is undermining her after he has a go at the editor. After assuring her that he only wants to help, Bethany gazes into his eyes and it seems they might kiss as Daniel tells her about his row with Sinead.
With her heart thumping, Bethany gets back to work and Sinead calls in the bistro. Admitting that she's scared to get married again as last time she found out she’d got cancer, Daniel suggests they cancel the wedding.
As Sinead leaves she clocks a look between Daniel and Bethany which throws her. Having quizzed Daniel about Bethany, she then asks Bethany about the look. When both admit feeling awkward having discussed their row Sinead’s satisfied that nothing is going on between them but has she got it wrong?
Sinead confides in Bethany that unbeknown to Daniel, she didn’t cancel the wedding and is planning to surprise him tomorrow.
Elsewhere, it’s Craig’s 21st birthday and Michelle is flattered after Ray calls her to a business meeting to propose franchising out his hotel restaurants to the bistro, wanting her to oversee it.
