EASTENDERS SPOILERS Stuart regains consciousness

But what does this mean for the Carters?

On Monday (17th September), everyone is relieved when they learn that the doctors are going to try and bring Stuart round, because he'll be able to tell the police what really happened. However Shirley remains adamant that Dylan is responsible and hatches a plan to prove it.

As Stuart wakes, Halfway storms out of the room and admits to Whitney that even though he’s glad his brother is okay, he hates him for everything he’s done. Zara interrupts them to say that Stuart wants to speak to Halfway.

Halfway is horrified when Stuart tells him that it was Mick who shot him. On Tuesday (18th September) when Stuart tells DI Arthurs, it’s a race against the clock for Halfway to warn Mick. Enlisting the help of Whitney to stall the police, will his plan work?

As Stuart revels in the attention of telling his story, Halfway rushes to The Vic with the new and Linda and Mick question if they should make a run for it. However Mick accepts there’s no way out just as the police arrive to take him away.

On Thursday (20th September), reeling from Mick's arrest, the Carters question Stuart’s side of the story. When Halfway receives a call from Zara saying Stuart is giving his full statement, everyone scrambles to help in any way they can.

Meanwhile, Stuart gives his statement and it all becomes too much for Linda who storms to the hospital accusing Stuart of lying. However she's quickly ushered out by the police and begs Zara to believe her. But Zara deals a crushing blow to the Carters and corroborates Stuart’s story.

Desperate, Mick calls Linda from prison on Friday (21st September) and urges her to get him help ahead of his bail hearing later that day.

EastEnders continues Mondays (8pm), Tuesdays (7:30pm), Thursdays (7:30pm) and Fridays (8pm) on BBC One
