Elle's investigation has life-threatening consequences in Neighbours

Can Paul save his daughter from the fallout?

 20-26 SEPTEMBER

As she continues her journalistic rampage through Erinsborough Elle prepares to drop another article. But when she shows up at the Varga-Murphys’ with an apology, she's confronted by Cara, who's sick of repeating herself. She can save it, her words mean nothing.

Following her new article about Amelia Jones, Cara confronts Elle about publishing such information, letting her know that she’s impeding an ongoing police investigation. Unapologetic, Elle insists they’re on the same side as Amelia Jones appears with evidence to support her innocence, leaving Elle with egg on her face.

Unflinching in her hunch that more is at play in this investigation, Elle believes she’s being followed through the complex, but chalks it up to nerves.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Terese is feeling the heat and needs to get Elle under control. It’s clear, especially to Karl and Susan, that Elle is setting little fires all over town and refusing to put them out.

Determined to handle it herself, Terese is reluctant to ask for help but after Elle’s latest stunt, she delivers the news that she has called Paul, and he’s coming home to deal with his daughter.

Preparing for judgement from Paul on his return home, Elle is surprised when he instead agrees it was quite the story she uncovered.

Later, when Terese asks him about Elle, Paul deflects, simply saying all is in hand with his daughter. And when Elle meets with Greg at The Tram, the lingering feeling of being watched returns. Elle tries to brush it off, thankful to have Greg in her corner, when the sound of a speeding car comes screeching towards her!
