Holly breaks Max's heart as she chooses Andrew in Neighbours

How long before Holly and Andrew’s secret is out?

 6-12 SEPTEMBER

Admitting that they can't be apart any longer, Andrew and Holly passionately make up for lost time. And when Karl and Susan return home, they're happy that Holly seems to be in a really good place.

Meanwhile, after seeing his wife and daughter at the sale, Andrew is filled with guilt and abandons his promise to help out. Unable to be her confidant anymore, Holly brushes Sadie off. And Toadie commends Sadie and Wendy when he checks in with an apologetic Andrew following his no-show. But Andrew is more interested in the photo of Holly wearing the jewellery, sans clothing, on his phone.

As she and Andrew make plans to figure out what their feelings mean for their future, Holly is already scheming to find the perfect hide-out.

Whilst Max shares his worries about Holly with Taye, Sadie continues her coy charade, acting like she didn’t know Taye would be at the sale, until Wendy blows her cover and leaves Taye feeling like they really are on the same page.

Unable to deny their chemistry, Taye and Sadie decide to take it slow and date without any pressure and without dating other people. When Sadie turns to Holly for her thoughts, she’s perplexed after Holly has nothing to say.

Later, Max and Wendy’s plans for the day are revealed when they arrive at school with a bunch of old parts from the garage, ready to help Wendy and the kids with a found object sculpture project.

But while Max and Wendy are in the world of the kids’ art projects, Holly and Andrew aren’t missing out on all the fun, having snuck off to the city for some alone time, with Holly suggesting they get to know each other like they’re single and have never met before.

But reality keeps encroaching and soon they have to have some big conversations about their future and agree they want to be together, but it’ll take time.

As Holly continues the search for her missing earring, Andrew is forced to leave her to rescue Cara and Holly dreads the idea of having to tell Max it’s lost.

Meanwhile, Taye and Max are on a mission to live frugally as they’ve spent all their money on impressing their girls and Max is also still worried about how hot and cold things have been with Holly. Taye gets the idea to invite the girls to a double date BBQ where they can play some silly couple games and hopefully give Max and Holly the chance to bond.

Unfortunately, Holly’s guilt is so strong that she struggles to get in the spirit of the evening and when Sadie calls her on her strange mood, she flees. At home, Holly breaks down in tears, feeling terrible about how she's treating Max.

The next morning, when a caring Max checks in on her, Holly is forced to confess that she lost the earring. When he shows his frustration, Holly jumps on Max's reaction, using it as the excuse she needs. Claiming that he bought her something he couldn’t afford and doesn't make good decisions, Holly breaks up with Max.

When Andrew returns home, he's forced to tell Wendy a very edited version of his day and when Wendy reveals she’s bought some risqué underwear to liven things up after their unsuccessful romp the other night, Andrew can’t bring himself to reject her hopeful advances. But ultimately, he ends up having another embarrassing failure and Wendy understands, putting it down to work stress.

The following day, Sadie is mortified after stumbling across Wendy’s research on erectile dysfunction and sexy lingerie. In her shock, she accidentally spills the beans to Taye and Wendy urges them not to say anything to Andrew as he’d hate people to know his unfortunate secret.

Sadie and Taye try to comfort Max, who's devastated after his breakup with Holly and struggling to understand how this happened. When Sadie relays her confusion to Andrew, he's immediately alarmed as this exactly what he was hoping to avoid... a lot of drama and painful questions.

With Andrew frustrated, Holly talks him down, explaining it was impossible to continue the relationship any longer, and there was no way she was going to be able to end it without creating some upheaval.

As the situation becomes very real for him, Andrew confronts how much harder it will be for him to end things with Wendy and the two agree that they’ll have to leave Erinsborough once their relationship goes public.
