Iain Stirling to front new 'Roast the Internet' series for Comedy Central UK

It's time to take the internet down a peg or two!

Comedy Central UK has today announced a brand new eight-part studio comedy entertainment show, Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet which is all about the very worst things on the internet, that they're legally able to talk about on broadcast television.

In each epsiode, top comedian and presenter Iain Stirling will roast social clips, posts and trends, whilst joined by three famous faces, often comedians, online celebrities and TV personalities, who each week will tackle their own online bugbears.

Alongside all the roasting, Iain and his guests will also be offering up some ingenious and hilarious solutions to the dumpster fire that is the online world.

With outrageous clips, funny chat and top comedy performances, Iain and his guests will be taking the internet down a peg or two, while all also secretly hoping their best bits will go viral.

Speaking ahead of the new show, Iain Stirling said "I’m so excited to be involved in this project which allows me to collaborate with some of my favourite people in TV (and the internet) and lets me doom-scroll TikTok while calling it work!"

To which Luke Hales, SVP Content & Brand Strategy, MTV Entertainment Studios UK, Australia & Canada, added "The internet is a chaotic, ridiculous place, and who better to make sense of it all for us than Iain Stirling? With his unique comedy voice at the heart of the show and a brilliant lineup of guests, this series is packed with laughs – a real treat for our audiences on Comedy Central UK."

Produced in-house by MTV Entertainment Studios, Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet will be filmed in the spring and be executive produced by Iestyn Barker and Luke Shiach.

Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet will air later this year on Comedy Central UK
