ITV1 announce brand new reality series The Vardys

It'll follow their big move to Italy.

ITV1 has announced a new reality series, The Vardys, which promises to offer an exclusive insight into the extraordinary lives of one of the football and showbiz worlds’ most famous families as they face their biggest challenge yet, leaving Leicester City after 13 years for a new life abroad.

The series, on later this year, kicks off when Jamie plays his final emotional match, punctuated by his 200th goal, whilst off the pitch, family matriarch Rebekah juggles it all.

After a difficult and dramatic five years in the UK, Rebekah is ready for the next chapter, but uprooting and moving to Italy with four kids and her footballer husband is not exactly what she had in mind.

As she manages the emotional and physical upheaval of the new move, she reflects on her recent challenges in the UK, intent on putting the “Wagatha” drama behind her and focusing on an exciting new chapter.

With no-holds-barred, intimate access to the Vardys, this new series follows all the drama and chaos of their new family adventure, from frantic house-hunts and tearful school searches, to unexpected disasters and dramatic setbacks, all while Jamie battles to prove his doubters wrong on the pitch at the age of 38, with Italian Serie A underdogs US Cremonese.

It is a rollercoaster journey of resilience, fierce family bonds, and the promise of a new life.

The Vardys promises banter, bickering and the sheer unpredictability of the Vardys as they navigate cultural clashes, forge new friendships, and make Italy their home. Can Jamie rekindle his underdog magic?

Will Rebekah find peace and a new purpose away from the glare of the British tabloids? And will the Vardy family finally find their happily ever after?

Made by Orchard Studios, will be executive produced by Dan Grabiner and Nat Lippiett for Orchard Studios, with Josh Jacobs as Showrunner.
